The JuiceBox 40 from Enel X was among the very first smart residential EVSEs to gain widespread utility adoption and rebate eligibility across North American power providers. Delivering 40 amps of power (9.6 kW) on a 50-amp circuit, it provides an estimated 30 miles of range per hour of charging. It includes a sturdy 25-foot cable, a built-in cable rack, and a security lock for outdoor mounting. The unit pairs with Amazon Alexa for voice commands and features an illuminated LED display indicating charging status. However, a major cloud migration in recent years caused app stability issues for some users, pulling down its reliability score relative to newer rivals from ChargePoint and Emporia.
